Instructors meet weekly to create lesson plans for all gymnastics classes. In the meetings, the teachers go over skills training, class management strategies, and leadership skills to ensure each class gets the best instruction possible.
Our instructors teach in a safe and fun manner. Gymnastics skills and life skills are taught to children using thoughtful lesson plans designed for the climate and culture of each class. There are many teaching methods that will be incorporated as children have many modes of learning. Our methods of teaching help strengthen an “I can do it!” and an “I am worthy!” attitude. Join the fun!
Monkey Playground Classes: Walking-3 yrs – Drop-In
Parent/Adult Participation Required.
This class is child-directed and supervised by an instructor to make sure the children are safe and having fun.

The intention of this class is to explore and move freely in the space accompanied by an adult (18+). A teacher will be supervising the class making sure everyone is exploring safely and having fun!
The toddlers will be introduced to gymnastics movement and equipment, teacher direction, and ideas that broaden their perspective with movement choices. The children will be learning how to be part of a class. Most of all, the focus is to have fun and meet other families in a safe indoor setting.
If the climate and culture of the class allow for teacher direction, then the instructor will alter the class to accommodate the nature of the group that day. The class closes with circle time, action songs, and with Stacy’s 14-year-old traditional good-bye song, “Wave Goodbye Like A Windmill”
*Drop-in classes are purchased in blocks of four and are good for 3 months from the date of purchase. Monkey Playground Classes are not limited to once a week. (Meaning you can come as many times as you’d like in one week.) Your digital card will be punched each time your child attends class.
Sea Stars: Preschool 3-4 yrs
The intention of this class is to learn how to take a class all by themselves, to experience body shapes connected with gymnastics & dance, and to build an “I know I can do it” attitude.
This is a very select age group. The possibilities are endless. We call this the weaning stage. In some instances, this is the 1st experience this age group will have away from their grown-up, and in most cases, it is their 1st experience taking a class ALL BY THEMSELVES!
The staff mindfully puts the lesson plans together for this age group. Sometimes it goes smooth as butter and other times we have to adjust the lesson plan on the spot. Rest assured, our lessons include all aspects of child development. We are able to achieve the targeted skills as well as the many necessary skills needed for healthy whole-child development
We honor your child’s feelings and personal sovereignty. If a child is not ready to fly solo, they are not ready. It’s that simple. Sometimes they need a little encouragement. If that’s the case, we may ask a parent to come into the learning area to help their child. Other times the child may need a little more time in the Monkey Playground class. We want each child to have a fun, positive, and powerful experience moving in our space and everywhere else in the world.
Sea Turtles: 5-7 yrs & Dolphins: 8-11 yrs
The intention of the Sea Turtles and Dolphins classes is to learn how to execute gymnastics skills on the apparatus and equipment safely and effectively, to learn how to move through space consciously, and to gain a sense of how their own body works.
