A Little History
The building we are located in, Rosalie and Alva’s, was originally a Ballet Conservatory. This building is an unofficial historical landmark and Flipside decided to pay honor to the two people who built the studio. That is an easy task to do. We feel honored to be in a place that has been blessed by literally thousands of dancers. All of our dance teachers have years of performance and teaching experience. Palma Skorin, on the top left, was Rosalie’s prodigy. She began teaching ballet as a teenager. She furthered her career and expanded her ballet knowledge by moving to France and studying there. We are incredibly blessed that Palma said yes to teaching for us at Flipside Dance. She has been an inspiration in this Port Town for many years and is truly the heartbeat of our Dance School.
